Retail ATMs
One of our latest retail ATM clients is a bakery in Sydney. His customers are using 'tap and go' to pay for a $3.50 sausage roll. A tap and go payment is processed as a credit card transaction, which means it incurs the highest fee...and there goes his margin on a low-cost item.
This client changed his policy so that he'll only take card payments for transactions over $20. For purchases below $20, they need to pay cash. Don't have cash on you? No problem, here's an ATM!
This is not an unfamiliar story as many business owners are realising how much they are spending on EFTPOS fees per month.
Our clients also include a number of large and small shopping centres, because you can't help but notice how hard it is now to find a bank ATM. Sure, they're 'fee free' if you can find them, but they are becoming increasingly scarce in what was their key market - the local shopping centre.
Why have an ATM? In some cases, like shopping centres, it's a given that there will be an ATM on site. It's a service that patrons expect to access. In the case of smaller venues, you can benefit from:
- Increased foot traffic.
- Increased cash flow (patrons tend to spend more when they are using cash).
- Reduce EFTPOS fees.
- The ability to earn rebates from withdrawals.
Small or large, we can work with you to provide an ATM solution for you business or client.
